The Abracadabra exhibition establishes Magic’s connection to books, language and words. It reveals the real Magic already in our lives and allows visitors to become active participants as they ‘feel’ the power of each of these symbols.
The exhibition also explores esoteric, less theatrical Magic, such as, divination, fortune-telling, cinema and science which has been employed in the art of magic, while certain scientific phenomena, like quantum entanglement or advanced technology, can often seem like modern-day magic to those unfamiliar with their workings.

The remarkable Abracadabra touring exhibition combines a collection of magical props, spells and Hocus Pocus in one fascinating display to explore the resurgence of Magic and superstition within movies, TV and popular culture. These items are typically locked away from view – but we bring them together for a spectacular, successful, engaging and educational temporary touring exhibition adaptable to small and large venues.
Abracadabra features magic spells and fascinating objects – magicians ancient and modern, from scrying mirrors to fortune-teller’s props and voodoo dolls. Witches and wizards, alchemists and medicine-men to the Magic of the mind in literature and movies, will all be revealed. The mystical allure of gazing at stars and planets in ancient storytelling laid the groundwork for centuries of astronomical exploration, driving curiosity and inspiring the birth of modern astronomy. The world is full of Magic. Not only in fiction and the incredible feats of stage conjurers and escape artists but in the beliefs, rituals and cultural practices of people around the world.
